DETASSELING/ROGUING Bohling Detasseling is looking to hire a detasseling/roguing crew for the summer. If you would like to apply please attend the meetings held at Northwest High School on May 9th, starting at 6:30pm.
YEARBOOKS
The deadline to purchase your copy of the 23-24 yearbook is fast approaching. Very few extras will be ordered, so please be sure to reserve your copy by April 29!

GRADUATION
The Northwest High School Class of 2024 is pleased to announce their upcoming graduation ceremony on Sunday, May 12th at 2:00pm in Rosencrants Gymnasium.

SPORTS PHYSICALS
Northwest sports physicals will be Monday, May 6th, at the High School, from 5pm-6:30pm for all incoming 8th-12th graders. Cost is $25.00 per physical. Cash or check only. Please make checks payable to Dr. Vettel or you may pay cash. Athletes should be well hydrated. Any student who plans to try out for any athletic activity, during the 2024-202 school year MUST HAVE a current physical on file prior to the beginning of that specific sports season.

LIBRARY BOOKS Please return all library books by May 6th.
ACADEMIC SUMMER CAMPS There are two new summer camps for students. UNK is offering an Astronomy, Physics and Engineering camp and Howard Greeley Rural Public Power is offering a Youth Energy Camp. For more information about either come to the counseling office.
STUDENT REGISTRATION Northwest Public Schools online registration for students currently attending Northwest Public Schools is now open until April 28th. Please log into your PowerSchool Parent Portal to begin the registration process. NEW Student Registration will open May 6th. If you are having trouble logging into your account please contact the Central Office 308-385-6394.
HEALTH CAREER CAMP UNK if offering a Health Science Explorers Summer Camps. These camps offer a great chance to dive into health sciences, healthcare careers, scholarships, and topics on wellness, anatomy, and more. There are camps at the UNK campus and Grand Island College Park. If interested, stop in to the counseling office
HEALTH CAREER CAMP CHI is hosting a Health Care Career Exploration Camp in June. It is for current 9th-11th graders.Student will get to see many different careers and do hands-on activities at the hospital. Click HERE to apply.
CROSS COUNTRY There will be an informational Summer Cross Country meeting after school on Wednesday, May 1st in the High School Cafeteria. For more information please email Coach Hope at jhope@ginorthwest.org
NOON DISMISSAL NWHS students will have a NOON dismissal on Friday, May 10th. No lunch will be served.
LEGION BASEBALL For those interested in legion baseball, and are not currently participating in spring baseball, open workouts will begin Sunday April 28th at 6 p.m. at Ryder Park. Workouts will tentatively be run every Sunday at 6 p.m. and Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. until tryouts begin. These workouts are not mandatory. See coach Brown if you have questions.
HASTINGS CCC
Thursday, June 13 CCC Hastings is hosting a Heavy Equipment Day. It is open to all students. Cost is $30 per individual. Sessions will include:
* Navigate and drive virtual heavy equipment simulators * Behind the wheel experience with a variety of Heavy Equipment pieces * Learn about the Hastings CCC Heavy Equipment Program * Career Panel * Optional campus tours The registration link closes Friday, May 31st by 5 pm CT.
